Big News for Physician Associates practicing in Florida!
Florida PA’s celebrate legislative win on June 29th. House Bill 431 was signed by governor Ron DeSantis updating several aspects of PA regulation.
Here are some highlights:
-PA’s ability to receive direct payment for their services, a core component of OTP (Optimal Team Practice.)
-The number of PA’s with whom a physician may work has increased from 4 to 10.
-Having a separate prescribe number for prescriptive authority they deleted language requiring PA’s to have a separate prescriber license &
-PA’s authority in authenticating documents such as death certificates.
